Not only for America, but for the world. I sat, and watched, undoubtedly one of millions also glued to computer screens, television screens, and radios...I watched and listened to a grand piece of human history unfold. Illinois senator Barack Obama is President-Elect of the United States of America. There are really not enough words for me to explain what Obama's victory means to me, even as a Canadian and someone who was not able to cast a vote in the American election. As a human being though, his victory gave me something I had never felt before. Hope. This great treasure that I felt, watching him on that Chicago stage, with all those flags waving and the cheers..my god, the cheers. The unity.
A great big piece of my cynical soul died quietly Tuesday night, to be replaced by something new and exciting. A hope, a symbol, A CHANCE, and a change that was truly needed, not only for America, but for everyone. It's a start in the right direction, and starting can often be the hardest thing to do.
But it's possible. Now everything seems possible.

Btw, those three messages which are supposedly from austrian-wonderchild look awfully suspicious. You might want to hide them. Just don't click where it says 'click here,' whatever you do.
